"Matsushiro Onsen" is a legendary hot spring known for its healing properties. It is said that Nichiren, the eminent Buddhist priest, bathed in this hot spring twice before and after his exile to the island.
During the 16th-century Battles of Kawanakajima, Matsushiro Onsen also served as a hidden hot spring for Shingen Takeda, healing the wounds and fatigue of his soldiers.

Kamikochi
◆Kamikochi A mountain scenic spot at an altitude of about 1,500m. It is designated as a national cultural property (special scenic spot / special natural monument). Various natures such as magnificent mountains, beautiful ponds and marshlands, and clear streams of rivers attract people.
(The mountain opening in Kamikochi is usually from late April to early November.)
