◆It is said that the castle was built as a base on the Takeda side in the battle of Kawanakajima where Matsuyo Castle Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi fought. At that time, it was called "Kaizu Castle". It was designated as a national historic site in 1981, and is also known as a famous cherry blossom spot.
